About Sue

I was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana.  My dad was in the Air Force, so we moved every few years from the time I started school until I was 16 years old.  We learned to ice skate in North Dakota.  I learned to love Mangoes in Hawaii.  We went across the Golden Gate bridge in San Francisco, up the winding roadway to Pike's Peak Colorado, and up the stairs in the Statue of Liberty.  We traversed the country from Mount Rushmore to The Alamo, and I took those hands-on learning experiences for granted at the time.  All I could think about was how uncomfortable it was to travel for days in the back of a station wagon with six brothers and sisters, wondering when dad would finally stop to let us stretch our legs.

As a young adult, I was blessed to be able to visit England, France, Germany, Belgium, Holland and Switzerland.  I was captivated by Napoleon's Palace in France, Buckingham Palace in London, the chalets in Switzerland, the flowers in Holland, and the Cuckoo clocks in Germany.
